I never understood why people have a hard time believing it would be possible to go to the moon. They'll believe we can put a man in orbit but not go to the moon?

Well, I could see why the US government would WANT to stage it. Remember, this was at the height of the Cold War and the Space Race, which the Russians were beating us at.
Really, I don't think there's ever any way to prove what did or didn't happen. my grandfather worked on Apollo 11... although that doesnt mean much because those damn conspracies say that a lot of the people who worked on it didnt know it was staged either
