Alright, I am trying to decide on what car to get... It's between a 2006 Audi A4 or a 2006 Volvo S40. I know what you're thinking, "A Volvo?! Ok Grandma!", well go look at them! They are pretty sporty and the price difference is pretty significant from a A4.

So what do you all think?

If you want something sporty why not get something like a 350z, wrx or Evo?

I don't think Acura needs an explanation, excellent reliability, great residual value, and assembled in US. Though I would want more power.

VW and Audi are the same company, never heard good things about VW, too many problems. Plus a lot of them are made in Mexico. I had a friend who bought a brand new Jetta and had to take it to the dealer 8 times in the 1st 6 months of owning it.

Volvo's are safe, but they're owned by Ford. They're reliability has been above average.

Have you thought about this car? Its more expensive, but there's a lot more power. Plus the safety of AWD.

Subaru Legacy GT. Also assembled in the US.

Acura is owned by Honda correct?

Audi is a subsidiary of VW, with separate groups for design and such. I have heard bad things about VW reliability as well. Audi's from what I've been able to find are still built in Germany and shipped over.

I have a few friends with Subarus and they've had nothing but problems.

I don't really need more power, trying to conserve as much gas as possible.

I do like the idea of TDI but they're always sold out.
