So back in high school I ordered a DVD recording of a performance of our drill team. But it won't play in anything I have (laptop and two DVD players). In the DVD players it'll get through the first few "chapters" but then it just freezes. My computer won't even recognize that it's in the drive (it recognizes other stuff so I don't think it's the drive). I've tried downloading like DIVX and stuff, but it still doesn't read at all.
Is there anything I can do to either transfer formats or fix the problem? It's from my senior year and it's got a really high sentimental value for me so I'm willing to try almost anything. -------------------- Forget regret

If it worked on a standalone dvd player then the disk if fine, and the computers just dont like it.
Computers don't always like burned dvds. |

Computers don't always like burned dvds. in my experience, computers are more prone to accept burned dvd's then actual dvd players how old are the dvd players? it hasn't been till rather recently that most (still far from all) dvd players have been able to support dvd+/-r/w discs. mostly because the mpaa doesn't like the idea of people playing movies they've made themselves. assholes. -------------------- WAIT.
