Hey guys, I have a new website for the lubbock area (it doesn't compete with techsans in any way) and the guy handling the mysql/php part had to quit halfway through and I need a new partner. If you are interested in finishing this job let me know. It should be fairly quick and is not super complicated stuff.

Basically it is listing all the drink specials in town and breaking it down by current day and if you want you can search by bar or day.
I am teaching myself how to call up mysql data using php and it is going very slow, if y'all know of any good resources I would appreciate a heads up. -------------------- DrinkLubbock - A shameless plug...

There was already a site doing this, called lubbockbeer.com or some shit.
And people can always just go to the site of the fucking gay little magazine that goes out every month..........I can't remember what it was called......... The midsection of each issue lists a table with all of the semi - fully popular bars as well as the days of the week, mentioning the specials. The lubbockbeer.com site was here and gone like a fart in the wind, it sits there untouched for years now. They were trying to do to much like bar reviews, pictures and all that which for students is just too much work. Studybreaks is fine if you can get a copy of it, I am on the engineering key and they are pretty hard to come by and of course you could go to the website but unless you bookmark it you have to click through a few menus to get there.
My site is going to eventually be almost running on its own. The drink specials are going to be updated by the bars and thats about all the work thats required. It'd work much better with some kind of matrix table or something... I would help you with this, but I don't have the time and without $$$ guaranteed, it's a little risky, especially if you are going with an ad-only model.

I'm new to all of this so I am learning as I go. I'm going to go to Barnes and Noble and pick up a couple books. Hopefully by the end of next weekend the site will be up and running 100%

studybreaks has a website, and that works fairly well. i have issues due to their website always being outdated with their specials, espically at places like daiquiri lounge that constantly change
