So, game is tomorrow at 9 AM for both...what do you think our chances are

I think we can take Ghana, due to them missing their two main goal scorers, but that isnt really the game that I am worried about. what do you think of the czech/italy game?

and who is getting up and watching it

Im totally skipping both my classes to watch the games tomorrow.

I think that if we bring the game we brought against Italy that we can beat Ghana.

I also think that the Italy should have an easy time with the Czechs, if they show up to play.

i got class at 10 also, the teacher planned on having a test the same time as the game...the class pretty much told him half of us would be gone and watching the game

so we had the test today

and I am skipping to watch something more important than a day of class

i think that if US comes to play like they did against italy, they can win

as far as italy & czech...

italy should be able to take czech. i think italy can beat czech even if czech brings their a+ game.

i'll be watching the US game, starts right when i get home from work

Brazil stand to be our biggest ally in this one ... they will win Group F and thus be matched up against the 2nd place team in Group E in Round 2. Obviously, if that's the USA, we're screwed, just like in '94, but having them waiting in the second round will ensure that neither the Czechs nor the Italians are willing to settle for 2nd place.

The Czechs won't play for a tie because if they tie and Ghana win, Czechs are out, and if they tie and USA win, or USA/Ghana tie, Czechs get Brazil.

The Italians won't play for a tie because if they tie and Ghana win, Italy get Brazil.

I think we beat Ghana 2-1, and I think Italy beats Czechs 3-1, putting us through to be eaten whole by Brazil.

PK kick was bullshit

ghana knows how to milk a an injury and a cramp..seriously, who needs a strecher for a cramp. anytime one of em had a chance to lay down on the field, they'd grab their vaginas and scream

and what was up with all the players, both ghana & us slipping all over the field?

yeah they milked it like a bitch, that was bullshit, but can you blame them? hell i think we would have done the same thing

but either way, we did not play as a team the whole world cup, we just half-assed everything. we did not necesarilly deserve to go through, ghana at least proved they can win games

italy did their part and won.
we couldn't follow through. we beat ourselves fair and square, and don't deserve to move on.

Where the hell was DaMarcus Beasley this tournament? I hate to call out individuals who aren't referees, but that dude made one play in three games and it resulted in a goal. I ask again, where the hell was he the other 269 minutes?

When we went forward with numbers, we got opportunities and we almost scored. I don't know who's to blame, but we didn't go forward NEARLY enough.

Playing Donovan as a forward is a mistake, a terrible, terrible, absolutely terrible mistake ... he plays the Zidane role, not the Ronaldinho role, you have to put him back in midfield and let him be the engine.

McBride isn't suited to be a solo striker, he doesn't have the right skills set, he must have a partner who is smaller and faster and can make the runs.

Keller was good but not remarkable, we could have used a monster save either on Jan Koller's header or on the first one today.

I liked Onyewu, his physical presence was over-penalized throughout, but he should be a fixture for us well into next decade.

Claudio Reyna is (probably) done as the USA captain ... any thoughts on who should wear the armband next?
