Voilà! In view, a humble vaudevillian veteran, cast vicariously as both victim and villain by the vicissitudes of Fate. This visage, no mere veneer of vanity, is a vestige of the vox populi, now vacant, vanished, as the once vital voice of the verisimilitude now venerates what they once vilified. However, this valorous visitation of a by-gone vexation, stands vivified, and has vowed to vanquish these venal and virulent vermin van-guarding vice and vouchsafing the violently vicious and voracious violation of volition. The only verdict is vengeance; a vendetta, held as a votive, not in vain, for the value and veracity of such shall one day vindicate the vigilant and the virtuous. Verily, this vichyssoise of verbiage veers most verbose vis-à-vis an introduction, and so it is my very good honor to meet you and you may call me V.

Sorry, Zach, just HAD to steal that for "V". biggrin.gif

You know...

........That reminds me of another time, many years ago, when I was
working as a subcontractor, designing weevil pants for some crazy old
farmer down in Tennessee. His special delivery truck had just been
assembled up in Detroit, and, as my work was mainly finished, he asked
me to go retrieve it for him. I had no means of transportation, so I
set on down the road, hoping to hitch a ride from a friendly driver.

.....Hours passed without anyone stopping. Soon, night fell, and
morning soon followed, but still, I had no luck. My feet grew weary
from standing, so I began looking for an alternate solution. All I had
on me was a pair of nailclippers, a cigarette lighter, and a
half-empty can of Pepsi. Like a flash, the answer came to me. I
hurriedly used the nailclippers to cut down a nearby tree, and used
the nail file on it to carve out a rough seat. I then placed the
lighter inside the Pepsi can and used the clippers to attach them to
the back of the log.

.....Before I knew it, I was cruising down the highway in my new
jet-powered log. I was making fantastic time, too, and before the day
was over, I had arrived in Detroit. The delivery truck was difficult
to locate in a city as large as Detroit, and it was well into the next
morning before I found it. Finally, my task nearly complete, I exited
my log and started to get into the truck for my long trip back to
Nashville.

.....Before I could close the door, however, I noticed a small
scratching sound. Looking back towards my log, I saw a chipmunk half
embedded in the front of it. His legs were still moving, so I rushed
over, grabbed him by the tail, yanked him out, and threw him to the
ground. The chipmunk sat there dazed, shaking his head and looking
very confused, and then looked up at me.

"Is this your log?" he asked.

"Why, yes, it is," I replied. "What on Earth happened to you?" The
chipmunk cocked his head ever-so-slightly, was silent for a moment,
and then exclaimed:

"You RAN ME OVER, you miserable whore!"

.....A long, long time has passed since that day, but, still, three or
four times a week, I'll receive death threats in the mail from him.
Even so, something tells me I'll never see that chipmunk again.

A psychotic world we live in. The madmen are in power. How long have we known this? Faced this? And--how many of us do know it? Perhaps if you know you are insane then you are not insane. Or you are becoming sane, finally. Waking up. I suppose only a few are aware of all this. Isolated persons here and there. But the broad masses... what do they think? All these hundreds of thousands in this city, here. Do they imagine that they live in a sane world? Or do they guess, glimpse, the truth...?
