This is seriously weird being home these days. There are like maybe two people here that I can even call up and see what they're doing, and both of them are outta town or working....
It's weird especially because the economy in this town has been booming latley, and there's been about 15,000 people move here since I left. I keep wondering if it would be worth my while to look for a job here, but it's like I had such a bad taste in my mouth when I left I don't know if I can handle it... It's just weird as hell coming back to a town you grew up in and lived for 20-some years and to have there basically be no one you even know there anymore

yeah its like that when i go home to my parents house in georgetown
its like i dont even recognize it anymore kinda creepy  driving around there, i keep looking for people i know, and it never happens, whena few years ago id go home and see people around |

i never spent much time with my family or at their home but now that i have been perma away for so long i have this kind of ideal idea/feeling of home. when i think about it its basked in soft light and everythings green and smells good and when i first get there everything is so clear fresh and crisp. its definitely weird but then the reality of everything and all the relationships starts to gradually sink in. i have a very poor history of keeping in contact with my friends and theres only one that still lives in houston. hes suppose to help me with something once i get there but i know itll be weird/awkward being around each other again because its been so long

What's weirder even about being home these days is the economy is fucking booming latley ....
I just drove around one of the two "rich" neighborhoods in town .... 6 years ago a home out there might have been $300,000 at the max .... Fuck I bet I just saw 20 homes with $700,000 price tags I am seriously contemplating going for a masters degree in ChemE so I can get a job back here.... I figure with all the natural gas stuff going on here that would be a good combination to have. -------------------- I r Ur Gawd!
