Its not doomed because of several things.

1. It will be around 200 dollars. Very fucking cheap.

2. That little controller can do a whole lot of shit. In football, for example, to throw the ball you actually move the controller like you were throwing it. same goes for kicking and stuff like that. Active gameplay is awesome.

I never said I wouldn't buy the Wii nor did I say it'll suck or anything like that. I think the Wii has some good things going for it but I would take the PS3 over it. While the Wii is innovative, Sony still has the games I want and like and until they go over to a different console, I'll stick to Sony.

There are clips on G4's coverage of E3 of people fighting with a sword. It does not look that impressive ... I still dont think it would be able to keep up with a person's movements ... its just different, not really better or more interactive

with the weak launch titles and horrible, horrible price point, it seems like sony's fucked itself over. The PS3 is becomming less and less appealing, and the Revolution (okay, the "wii") is becomming more and more appealling.

and yes, the ability to buy 2-3 wii's for the price of a ps2 will definately mean something to the casual person (nintendo's market.)

hell, with tennis games and the like, the wii could even be sold as an exercise device. (DDR already gets sold just for the exercise qualities -- some schools have even added it to their PE programs)
