there are some new places south of the loop on university: burgers fries and cherry pies, anna's asian buffet, and fast eddies.

they built a new taco bell on the corner of 4th and Q where they're putting in a walmart.

mcalisters deli went in on 19th st. just east of university, they're pretty good.

i'm sure there are all sorts of new places if you drive to odessa (aka 98th st) -> 101 bar and grill is out there, i think there's a place called 'fire water cafe', and many many more! unsure.gif

see, i'm helpful.

I know it's already been covered about a thousand times, but freebird's is at slide and the loop.

Firewater?

The Taco Bell at 4th and Q has been there, they just finally renovated the dump.

As far as new restaurants go, the McAllister's is new but they have those in Dallas. You may want to try Hebi's. It's not new but it's damn good.

Firewater and Melt.....Melt is downtown, it doesn't look like much from the outside but inside it is extremely classy.

there's a pretty fancy place right across 19th from tech... i forget the name but i've been there for drinks. has a brick wall against the street and set back a little. pretty "formal" kinda place. or at least people were much more dressed up than normal.

Back when my sister worked at Chez Suzette I would always see people dressed to the nines. Ok, maybe not to the nines, but definitely the seven and a halfs. I would consider it a "formal" place.
