If you go to East Lubbock, you will find pretty much an even distribution of black and hispanic. Thats my opinion at least in having taught in primarily East Lubbock. I find this funny: Before I moved to Lubbock, all my hispanic friends said that I was moving to a racist city...a city that had hate for any race outside of white. I found that to be completely wrong. I see a lot of diversity in Lubbock. On the other hand, everyone in Lubbock bitches about how many Mexicans there are. I dont see that either. i like lubbock and this is by far the smallest city ive spent a significant amount of time in. i dont consider it racially diverse. a bunch of mexicans and blacks doesnt = diversity. but compared to cities of this size in say the midwest then yeah.
