... companies that I should apply at. I'm graduating with my MS in Mechanical Engineering this summer. Thus far I've applied at:

I'm guessing if you got hired on doing controls with then you would be very well compensated at least, and I think you'd be surprised at the level of technology that oilfield/oilfield service companies operate with .... think NASA-ish, not oldschool shit, heh  I would also immagine that you could get a job with any company that had anything to do with designing systems for offshore oil exploration ventures. -------------------- I r Ur Gawd!

Mkay, just applied at Schlumberger. Halliburton suxx0rz on job locations (95% in Houston).

But after I'm done with cement school I will be doing design/contract bidding/running my own crew in the field. You can relocate every few years, or you don't have to. Whatever your job description is and where you go is entirely up to you. And the money/benefits are very good in my opinion. -------------------- |
