I prefer Kakuro. At least there's some math involved there (barely).

I have a computer program that does nonograms I could send it to you if you'd like.

Edit: It's located here if you wanna download it: http://students.cs.byu.edu/~hec23/logicpaint.zip

It's not too hard once you get used to it. For instance, say you have a row 15 spaces long and the # for it is 10. You know that the middle five spaces have to be blacked out because no matter whether the 10 starts at the left end or ends at the right end, those middle five boxes are gonna be covered.

Ok, I didn't do that one, but I created one in LogicPaint on "normal" mode with the same dimensions (10x20).

It's easiest to start with a row or column that has a large number in it. So for example, here:

So what I did with row 4 was start from the left. I put in 6, 1, 1, 1, 3, and 1 with just a single space in between. Now notice there are 2 spaces left on the far right. That's the max that everything can move over. So I remove 2 marks from the left of each segment, like so:

Now I do the same thing with column 2, starting from the top (ignore that random mark in the top row--I guess I clicked there accidentally before taking my screenshot):

Now note that in row 3 and row 9, the first # is a 3. There's a tick in the 2nd column for both of those, so you know that they're either going to have ticks in the 1st, 2nd, 3rd columns or the 2nd, 3rd, 4rd. Either way, there's gonna be a tick in the 3rd column, so I mark the spots at (3,3) and (9,3) as well. In row 5, the first # is a 1 and there's a tick in column 2 already... can't have ticks to either side or it'd be a 2 or 3 block in that row, so I mark (5,1) and (5,3) as spaces (right-clicking in LogicPaint). All this results in the following:

And so on and so forth... make sense?
