QUOTE (Spectatrix @ Apr 14 2006, 07:18 PM) Pretty pathetic excuse for an "invention". Yeah...I really wanted to watch that show to see what all they "invented" but so far that is the only thing of it I've seen... Which makes it all the more pathetic she could get rich selling that in adult catalogs. Christ I should mechanically engineer the worlds best vibrator, I'll bet I could BANK off that shit -------------------- I r Ur Gawd!

I saw this show. One guy's invention was a stick. It was supposed to be used for fighting off bears and cougars. Another invention was a poncho with a pouch in it so you could go to the bathroom if you were in a hurry.

No day but today... Group: Members Posts: 773 Joined: 22-February 06 Member No.: 5 |
there was a guy who made a portable urn thing that looked like the pie piece holder in trivial pursuit where each compartment could hold the remains of a different relative so you could have them all together to pay respects to... congratualtions you didnt invent the box you just came up with something else to put in it
the one i like the best is the guy with the fluid motion baby carseat. i could see this one winning the whole thing. from the ai site QUOTE INVENTION:
Spherical Safety Seat - A new kind of infant car seat where the baby sits inside nested spheres instead of the usual seat. In a collision, the spheres spin and automatically position the child's neck and back so that they are perpendicular to the impact force, thus shielding the baby from the destructive force of the impact. Janusz Liberkowski, 52, is a mechanical engineer in San Jose, California. He and his wife are the loving parents of one-and-a-half year old twins. Janusz' older daughter Anecia passed away in a car accident seven years ago, which inspired Janusz to create this revolutionary seat, in the hopes that it will save children's lives. Janusz and his wife are very active in their local Polish community. -------------------- Forget regret

Ok, wtf? How did THIS make it onto the show?
http://abc.go.com/primetime/americaninvent...on_clemens.html QUOTE INVENTION: The Restroom Door Clip - A small plastic clip that attaches to the top of a restroom stall to hold the door closed when the stall is broken. Clips onto a pack of tissues for easy storage in a purse or pocket. Sharon Clemens, 63, resides in Huntington Beach, California and is a retired sales associate. She and her husband of over forty years have three children and two grandchildren. Sharon created the Restroom Door Clip after too many unpleasant experiences in public restrooms. The project has been keeping her quite busy in her retirement and is giving her a new lease on life. She hopes to win American inventor and get her husband to retire early. Edit: Man, most of the inventions are dumb. The only one besides the car seat that sounds good is the "EZ-X Portable Gym". Hell, I think that kid's Doggie AC was better than most of these. It seems to me that the show has less to do with fascinating inventions than who has the best sob story.

the show's only had four episodes so far, why not just watch ALL of the failures? (all the torrents are very well seeded still, mininova has them all.)
i've seen them all and there's a few good ones. The edible snowglobe idea I think is the one that would probably do the best in the marketplace. i also have a feeling that if they sign the waiver to participate in the contest, they lose the right to sell the invention on their own if they don't already have a patent or some shit. that therapy buddy dude (creepy kidtoucher he was) has been selling the rest of his creepy ass stock though. that bulletball dude was fucking pathetic. -------------------- WAIT. I'm not finished.
