I thought I posted screenshots of this but I guess it was before the board was ceremoniously destroyed.
Playing with it now... I love it! -------------------- "There is a level of cowardice lower than that of the conformist: that of the fashionable non-conformist." |

No, but the simple fact that it's everywhere I go and tied into my e-mail makes it more useful than Calendar.app or Outlook. -------------------- "There is a level of cowardice lower than that of the conformist: that of the fashionable non-conformist." |

QUOTE (impala454 @ Apr 13 2006, 08:34 AM) google is just like apple... they have this weird cult following. they'll see anything they make as some bad ass new product. It's funny though, because I actually prefer Yahoo Maps, and their news and actually use their site more than Google. Like I said above, the beauty of Google Calendar is the fact that from anywhere in the world I can access it. Before I go on a trip I can upload a calendar file, and have all of my appointments, share them with certain people who need to know where I'll be, etc. It's just another way of doing things, instead of just having my events on my laptop and not be able to access them from a computer at an office or something. I am not a Google cult follower, I just think this neat and useful. You talk about a cult following and yet you preach Microsoft like it is the only option out there. -------------------- "There is a level of cowardice lower than that of the conformist: that of the fashionable non-conformist." |

QUOTE (Hartmann @ Apr 13 2006, 09:46 AM) Google is one of the few that's refused to turn over records I thought?? Publicly, yes. Say you worked at Google. Say some NSA d00d say's he'll pay you $10,000 a month for you to "accidentally" drop a thumbdrive containing Google server login/passwords for root access. Do you bite? How bout for $100,000 a month? Not even then? Look at the d00d sitting in the cubicle next to you, playing with his official Google Lava Lamp (52oz.). Do you think maybe he'd do it for $10,000? What about $100,000? How many employees does Google have? Just because it's not public doesn't mean it don't happen. The whole NSA/AT&T thingie got blown open by the d00d who's job it was to hook up new fiber to the "secret room". He decided to quit and blew the bizzness to the EFF and New York Times. Put your tin foil hat on! -------------------- WAIT. I'm not finished.

Oh, I'm not saying it doesn't happen, I am just not that worried about it, mostly because I don't have anything to hide and quite frankly don't care if the NSA knows I'm having lunch with a client. They could find that out through the cell phone networks if they really wanted to.
