QUOTE (Rocky @ Apr 10 2006, 11:35 PM) I agree it sucks that our money goes to illegal causes, but at the same time - - It's the US people in power in companies who are ALLOWING ILLEGALS TO BE HIRED IN THEIR BUSINESSES. - Our tax money would be wasted on something else anyways. No matter what its gonna sucketh. Both sides are causing the problems and these problems are also helping us. I think overall I'm siding with the idea of enforcing much stricter border laws, patrols, fences etc - but just making all current residents legal. Make them pay taxes and just continue living here. But then what ? Then they are subject to more fair wages. Then prices go up, as well as taxes to pay for the big fence and more. Then we get more totally intelligent e-flame wars bitching about that. blah blah blah And quite frankly we all just need more titties to look at Rocky, speaks the truth. But the titties should look good, that is why we should have a fence, obsticle course and run with a green card at the end. So only fit people could make it, this works for women wanting some low fat sausage tacos -------------------- Southern Rock, beer and bears!

people are protesting wanting to become amercian citizens.
but what happens when they do. the employers would legally have to hire them pay them a min wage pay taxes for them etc why the fuck are they gonna do that when they could still get a illegal to do the same work for less pay and not have to pay taxes on them. this is why they are part of the job market in the first place. -------------------- |

how can lance be so conservative and so gay at the same time?
if we want to deal with the problems of illegal immigration, we have to make business people more accountable for proving the citzenship of their employees. with stricter employment policies and an agency which checks them (much cheaper than a fence and much more useful). if we elliminate their ability to get jobs without proper identification, then we elliminate their motives for coming. honestly, i hope that mexicans slowly take over our country and destroy our way of life just so the few indians who are still alive can get a good fucking laugh. "this is my united states . . ." bullshit for those of you less enthused with foreigners in general, i might remind you that all the children born in the united states are citizens. so, only deporting illegals will not solve your problems, perhaps genocide? "i can't understand you paco, this is not 'yack in the box,' estupid. and no i will not pay extra for tomatoes that your people probably picked making less money in a day than i am about to spend on a combo meal, just because our government's nuclear testing fucked up the weather patterns and caused a severe shortage. i want to talk to your manager because you obviously cannot understand english and shit. you come to my fucking country at least learn my fucking language, i know there is no program to teach you english funded by the federal, state or local goverment, but why would i support that program? i already speak english. it's not my fault that mexico does not require you to get an education, or that they do not offer many affordable classes in english. just because i was raised comfortably by rich parents doesn't mean that i am not cultured, i know how to say beer in four different languages. so what this job consumes a majority of your life and gives you money, if you cannot make me a quick fucking burger then you don't deserve it, because my snack is more important than your existence. i could be cruising in my hummer right now wasting gas and complaining about the gas prices enough to keep this war going against that race of terrorists. i want cheap gas and fast food, i want everything to be easy for me, it is so fucking hard in my life for me to wait around on idiots like you, who think you really have a hard time. just die or make yourself useful. why don't you get me a taco instead, surely you understand that word. it is probably the only worthwhile thing your people has ever contributed to our culture. i don't care if it stains my expensive clothes that were poorly pieced together by kids in sweatshops who should be thankful that they have fucking jobs, because i will just throw it away anyway instead of washing it. later holmes, i have been through too much shit trying to figure out what angle to wear my baseball cap at to deal with this shit today." in spanish "do you think that vato knew this was a carwash" "no, but maybe he was just practicing" oh no my balllzzzz weee oooo weeee i hate foreigners american is a race fire in the taco bell i am a hypnotist 3 . . 2 . . 1. . and sleep |

I don't think the illegals themselves are the problem. In our capitalist economy we need immigrants to keep our consumer base growing because our domestic population growth is slowly declining to close to replacement fertility levels (which can be a bad thing, look at Japan where they have a huge amount of elderly and a comparitivly small juvinile population which could strain their economy/industry in the future because they have strict immigration codes and don't really welcome immigrants).
What we need is a way to document the immigrants coming in so that it is harder for big companies to take advantage of extremely cheap labor (which is nearly impossible -- there will always be 'under the table/off the record' workers) and the immigrants themselves for exploiting medical care, education etc. , and tax them so that they contribute instead of leach. More rigid and aggressive deportation devices have to be put into effect so that if you aren't on the books following the rules, you get kicked out ASAP(but this would probably be attacked as the 21st century's Jim Crow laws). It's easy to scoff at the fact that illegal workers commonly have no car insurance, but would you pay for something like that if you were making $2 a day? They can't afford it. They have families. And the "taking our jobs" thing is complete shit, especially with us with high school/college degrees. Im not going to graduate with an engineering degree to compete with mexicans picking strawberries. The only people who have a legitimate claim to this are people without high school diplomas, but they didn't take advantage of the opportunities that were given to them, so I say tough shit. Let someone who is more willing to work hard reap the benefits. Maybe implement a system so that minimum wage for documented workers starts out at a certain rate (lower than the legal state level) while they begin the naturalization process (and learn to speak English) and after a set period of time (and proof of citizenship/completion of an english test if their job requires it) , it incrementally increases to regular minimum wage. Either that or it stays at the state minimum wage level and we heavily tax it at first and then back off which would help the state pay for the beauacratic assimilation of a large part of the migrant workers. Maybe it's just me, but I dont mind paying an extra $.30 cents for a hamburger if it means that less fortunate people are able to feed their families. Oh my god. I sound like a liberal QUOTE "In the first place, we should insist that if the immigrant who comes
here in good faith becomes an American and assimilates himself to us, he shall be treated on an exact equality with everyone else, for it is an outrage to discriminate against any such man because of creed, or birthplace, or origin. But this is predicated upon the person's becoming in every facet an American, and nothing but an American...There can be no divided allegiance here. Any man who says he is an American, but something else also, isn't an American at all. We have room for but one flag, the American flag... We have room for but one language here, and that is the English language... And we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a loyalty to the American people." I pretty much agree with the letter. However I have no problem with illegals, they do the jobs no one else wants to do so let them have it. But fuck if I'm going to learn spanish so they can feel more welcome in my country. Fuck you when you wave the mexican flag in america and badmouth this country you can just go back to mexico you fuckinh wetback. When you say, "America is my country," in english, while respecting the rule of law and knowing how nice it is to live in this country, then you can stay as a respected member of society, illegal or not.
Mexcian pride is great and everything and yay thats your country wow wonderful, but do that shit in mexico with your dirty hospitals and horrible working conditions. I think the worst thing I ever saw was last July 4th in houston. I went to the "Power of Houston" fireworks show and celebration. 90% of the entertainment was tejano or tejano/rap mix. I was fucking angry as shit too. I hate most contry music, but you put on a god damned country band because this is THE FOURTH OF JULY!!!! I found the entire experience disrespectful to america. -------------------- FUCK YOU

You lost the very little bit of credibility this post might have contained right here. They do the jobs legals won't do because it's illegal to pay the shitty money that they pay. I do agree that the government should aggressively find companies that hire illegals and pay them shitty wages. -------------------- LANCE IS PRO-CENSORSHIP! HE IS CENSORING MY LOVE FOR THE LORD!

i was listening to the Sean Hannity radio show yesterday driving to austin. i rarely bother with Hannity, but he made some great points. he kept interviewing people live from the protests, and every interview went something like this:
Hannity: welcome to the show, are you for or against illegal immigration into the US? Caller: i'm all for it Hannity: why? Caller: because they deserve the same chance as us, they have every right to be here, blah blah blah Hannity: wait, they have a right to be here? coming into the US illegally is against the law. are you implying that they should break the law? Caller: uhhhhhh....they have a right to be here Hannity: actually, they don't, because it's AGAINST THE LAW Caller: ummm, uhhhh...... no one could come up with a valid response to his question. he also pointed out that anyone who skips school in DC for the upcoming rally gets community service credit. WTF? they're getting rewarded for breaking the law? what i don't understand is this: protests are legal, but protesting and promoting illegal activities is against the law. the KKK is free to protest in this country, unless they start calling for laws to be broken - church burnings, assassinations, whatever other shit they want. the anti abortion protesters are free to hold signs up and picket abortion agencies, but if they start calling for the killing of doctors they're tossed in prison how is this any different? these protestors are, in effect, protesting an illegal activity and promoting lawlessness. why can't they be arrested? -------------------- only here to talk sports occationally

itd take changing some of the laws. there are lots of different kinds of jobs that can get away with paying less than minimum wage and if the business pays employees in cash or with other incentives like board and food they dont even really have to pay them anything at all. im trying to say is itd take a HUGE overhaul of the current system to patrol and change everythign necessary to make it an even slate. that will never happen and if they tried people would complain about it, businesses and tax payers a like.
i had a manual labor/horse handler/cowboy job when i was younger and i was only paid in cash and way below minimum wage but i also technically lived there and it was technically a 24hr job. the laws change for situations like that and its a jobs that nearlly 100% are just illegals. funny thing was though they were busted before for having illegals working and when my boss lady would hear of a bust she'd come and tell the mexicans and they were to run to the trails and hide in the woods with their families. they were damn appreciative of the work and living space though -------------------- Little monkeys making money

QUOTE (Throwdown @ Apr 11 2006, 03:35 PM) no one allowed to speak to hannity could come up with a valid response to his question. fixed. unless you are from this part of fucking pangea we are all immigrants. it is obviously not "illegal" enough to discourage them from crossing the border. so, kill their motive . and ira, go back to israel. really. |
