you know those big ass water towers around lubbock?
when I was a very small child back during the depression, my dad would tell us they were martian robots here to destroy us and the only way to keep them from coming closer was to stare at them. apparently we had medusa's gaze on them. so we would ride around in the car peering out the window at them...and if we ever forgot and starting jaw-jackin'...he would be all "HOLY SHIT THE ROBOTS!!! KIDS QUICK!!!" and we'd all EEK and stfu and stare. he was/is a genius. |

wish that crap would have worked on my little brother though. i agree, there should be a test and credentials before owning a firearm, but all that does is give firearms that "unattainable" feeling like prohibition, i believe that those people who are irresponsible with firearms and treat them as toys in the first place would only try harder to get their hands on one just to show off that they DO have one. and it still doesn't fix the fact that if a criminal wants a gun, he can find someone dirty to get him a gun. doesn't solve anything, and merely provokes the situation further. was trying to talk a roommates friend into selling me this today
