QUOTE
Texas Tech head coach Marsha Sharp plans to retire at season's end, The Dallas Morning News reported.

The school will hold a press conference at 3:30 ET, but has not announced the subject.

Sharp, in her 24th year at Tech, is the school's all-time winningest coach (570-187), leading the Lady Raiders to the 1993 national championship.

Sharp, who was inducted into the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame in 2003, became the head coach in 1982 after one season as an assistant and began building a program that would reshape the women's basketball landscape in the state of Texas.

In 1993 behind Sharp and superstar Sheryl Swoopes, the Lady Raiders won the first team national championship in school history with a 31-3 record.

Tech would go on to win three straight Big 12 regular-season championships from 1998 to 2000.

There goes the only coach that has got Tech to a national championship.

its on the news right this minute (fox)

"this is a decision i made last fall... all the administration were informed of my decisions last october... significant health concerns that got my attention... many thoughts and emotions... gratitude for the incredible opportunities/moments... support in every possible way... thanks to all my staff... incredible fans theres a reason they call us lady raider nation... look forward to continuing association from a different role... thank you from the bottom of my heart to all the women who have worn the lady raider uniform - the manner in which you represent us gives me pride but the things you are doing now makes me feel the best... today came a little sooner than expected... adamant about protecting this team each game about the girls and not me... many members of local media have been respectful but not the case with everyone, therefore prompting the announcement to be earlier than planned... what goes around comes around... hope and sole focus to continue our season as long as possible... will work hard for the remaining games and postseason play"

as close to verbatim as i could type while watching it live

But lesbianism is fun to watch...

...except with her. :X

But yeah, I was thinking this might happen soon with the recent health problems she's had.

Did I thank you for something? I could have swore I was being sarcastic by saying you made me laugh not thanking you... Maybe I'm just too stupid to read my own post?
