so, i was dismantling my new keltec plr-16 for the first time, to get the hang of how it works.... reading the instructions carefully, etc, and it tells me to knock out the pin assembly on the gastube. i start to do this, and read the next sentance, which stats *caution! parts under pressure due to gas piston spring!* i look up at a noise, and i see that i have launched the assemply plug straight at my 42" LCD flatscreen tv, and cracked the fucker.....
the tv is less that 90 days old, still under warranty. i call VISIO today, and they say that their warranty does NOT cover screen damage of any sort, that it's more expensive to replace the screen than to buy a new tv.. i try to con walmart with it, as if it's a wedding gift i need to return, and everything goes well, manager approval, etc. until the little weasel electronics guy comes out, and checks it out, and notices that the screen is broke. they refuse to take it so.... i have a $862 piece of trash sitting in my living room right now... --------------------  QUOTE (Jessica @ May 7 2007, 01:15 PM)  but yeehaw dammit. That sucks. Along those same lines, I was reloading my pellet rifle and grabbed the god damned trigger and shot a hole through my arm. It was only a .177 cal, but that gun shoots at 1200 fps. Surprisingly it didn't really hurt

I knew this guy in high school who was cleaning a gun while talking to his girlfriend on the phone. Shot his finger off mid conversation. She freaked out when she heard the noise, and all he said was "I gotta go. Call you later." She broke up with him a few weeks later then I dated him for a while. It was weird because they had reattached the finger but it was so disfigured that it was insane. He would poke me with it to annoy me. I know he wanted to get it amputated, but I don't know that he ever did.

Ah yes, reminds me of when I first took my Ruger MKIII apart... SPROING! parts go flyin, then, while reading some assembly guides online I find out it is one of the most pain-in-the-ass ones to fully disassemble.

I'd at least look into selling it, there's no telling who might pay $50-100 for it because they need some expensive ass part that wasn't broken.
