"badly mishandled" is a huge understatement... probably the worst one ever recorded..

It sounds like there must be something going on in this guy's private life that is effecting his work. With that said, he probably shouldn't be handling 911 calls in that case, but people don't always realize these things. I feel like he should be at least reprimanded for that.

lol i love how the girl called back while her dad was seemingly dying and first thing she was asking was "whats your name, because we're gonna sue you!"

and what officer feels the need to be bitching about cursing when they're a 911 operator? lol what an ass hat. I would have flipped the fuck out if he tried to arrest me.

I think everyone has a bad day at work. He should get leave w/o pay at least and be forced to do community service and sensitivity training.

Yeah but having a bad day at work up there... maybe you might be rude to the caller or something, but you still don't jeopardize lives by hanging up on a 911 caller. IMHO the guy should never be allowed to take 911 calls again.

I applied to work at the Lubbock Dispatch for 911 once. They didn't take me although I did well on the test and the whole process. They wanted me to take a semester off and get trained by them. I really do not like cops, but feel bad for them since pretty much everyone despises them.
