Really cool show. Not sure how long it's been around but I caught it for the first time the other day on Spike HD. They basically take two warrior types, often from different eras or different parts of the world and compare them and have them "fight". Most of the time it's two completely different styles that would have never met in battle. The one I watched was "Pirate vs Knight". Very cool show. They compare their weaponry and tactics in a kind of mythbusters style show. I set my DVR to record the next several ones, here's the matchups they have:
William Wallace vs Shaka Zulu Shaolin Monk vs Maori Viking vs Samurai Spartan vs Ninja Yakuza vs Mafia Green Beret vs Spetznaz |

the spartan vs. ninja matchup took a lot of flak because they didn't factor in a lot of the other things like fighting styles/tactics etc....just the weapons....
i agree with the outcome that in an all out brawl the ninja would lose but the ninja would've snuck up on the spartan and taken him out with a poison dart before he knew what was going on william wallace vs. zulu was badass....the claymore is just a beast of a weapon (and a lot cooler) -------------------- "Ah, y'know it's funny, these people they go to sleep, they think everything's fine, everything's good. They wake up the next day and they're on fire."

The only one I've seen so far is the pirate vs knight. I think they put a little too much on the blunderbuss... I mean yeah it was devastating, but big time unreliable, and only one shot.
