I could be wrong but i was pretty sure the proposition included liquor as well.

Actually i'm a 100 percent sure it does. Look at the wording of the proposition. If it didn't include Liquor then why would TAAS lead a misinformation campaign about liquor being sold in grocery stores and warning against liquor stores opening up near homes.

The liquor stores asked 237th District Judge Sam Medina to bar the city from issuing the necessary paperwork to obtain alcoholic beverage permits until an agreement can be reached on the wording of the ordinance

Why don't you "deduce" this: According to the AJ, 36% voted against the resolution. Are you going to sit there and tell me that the same city which you dubbed a "conservative christian dustbowl" in your original post is only 36% comprised of christian conservatives? |

Impala you and I both know that the reason most liquor laws exist is because of christian politics. An example would be no liquor on sundays. I know that Southern Baptists (and some other denominations?) are against drinking. I could certainly see them being against making Lubbock wet, but not necessarily Christian conservatives in general. Hell, Catholics even drink in church!
