I think you're shooting yourself in the foot allowing that stuff at all, IMHO. At least, if your goal is to get tons of people to use the site.

I'm up for being a mod/admin/whatever was suggested earlier (since I'm a loser and check the forums all the time, lol). And I agree: I think NSFW images should be linked and clearly marked, even in LRAR (You should be able to read any thread at any time without getting in trouble). Yeah, I don't like the idea of having a minimum post restriction on a forum. I'd rather just clean up LRAR. Frankly I don't care if there's *some* NSFW stuff on the forums, but it needs to be LINKED and it can't be pervasive.
