I didn't see the fight but I saw the highlight...

I dunno, Lesnar is a fucking freak ...

Either that or maybe there really is something to those "performance-enhancing substances" ... and I don't mean NOXplode. Heh biggrin.gif

Possibly having my debut pro match either 3/27 or 3/28 in Kansas....they're still trying to find me an opponent (first one they had lined up decided to stay amateur...bleh).

Yeah, I train enough to keep myself in pretty much constant "fight shape."

LOL ...yikes!

Anyways, I lost in the 3rd round via triangle choke. The fight pretty much consisted of him rushing me, taking me down, and
ending up in my guard. We both traded some shots on the ground. He rung my bell with a solid left elbow to the base of my
jaw on the right side middle of the first round, and I cut him up big time with elbows and hammer fists to his head and face.
3rd round I was able to actually hit a 1-2 combo before he rushed me and pulled guard. I stayed in his guard instead of standing
back up (idiot move on my part against a big time Brazillian Jiu Jitsu instructor/competitor). He worked for an armbar first,
which I defended, followed by the triangle choke that finally did me in middle of the 3rd round (tapped out before I blacked out...
and it was close).

Good fight that I took on 5 days notice at a weight class higher than for what I've been preparing (fought at 170, been preparing for 155).
I weighed in at 164 after eating like crazy for 5 days, he weighed in a 168 after cutting weight.
And I wasn't in as good of fight shape as I thought...my wind was great but muscular endurance wasn't ready for 3 5 minute rounds...
my legs were jello in the 3rd LOL.

Great experience, great show, props to my opponent Jeff Messina out of Revolution Dojo.
Now I know what I need to drill before the next playtime.

That's because he's not mentioning the rear naked choke in the 1st round. whistling.gif

I'll be fighting in Lubbock on Saturday, April 11th at the Civic Center.

"West Texas Combat Promotion ~ Inaugural West Texas Standoff"

Half the fights are pro-MMA, the other half are pro-Boxing.
