You know, I hear this, but I don't see it. I've been to four universities and I only recall two profs that had obvious political leanings. Ironically, they taught my two semesters of US history and one was liberal and the other conservative. Even then, their politics didn't influence their testing or grading.

I've been to four colleges too, and most of my professors were liberal whackos .... especially the non-engineering professors.
