A couple of pretty nice pieces of Texas legislation have been introduced:

I like HB 1301.

Still not so sure about allowing CC on college campuses...namely due to the "drunk/stoned frat-boy factor."

what about everywhere else? i.e. the drunk/stoned non-frat-boy factor?

I understand it's everywhere. That's why I'm just 50/50 on how I truly feel for that one.
I work on TTU campus in an unarmed position that deals heavily with trouble making students
at night. I'm just concerned for my safety if there is free reign of firearms around me, but not
for me. Although, yes...they could have them anyway now and I'd never know.

Bleh, still just on the fence with this one.

see... i thought about that one along time too. same with allowing dumbass gang bangers to turn carrying a firearm into a fashion statement like their fucking bling necklaces.

but what i decided is that it's not my place to baby sit these individuals. if they cannot be trusted with them, they'll do something stupid and be forced to face the punishment. there may be a few incidents, yes. but i will trust to the history of gun crime in texas, and take those risks. i dunno if i explained myself correctly, but it's a bit lengthy reasoning that i don't wanna type out

No, I remember your original point that you posted...and I understand your stance.

At the same time I don't want to be that statistic that is used to now argue AGAINST any new law allowing firearms on campus.
(though, yes, the same can be said about CC anywhere else. Damn slippery slopes, lol)

well, that statistic it's self is flawed i think... you've only got the half where guns have killed people while on campus, you don't have the half of the statistic where no incidents have occured while they were legal, or how many lives they might have saved if someone was capable of fighting back against those killers. i understand that the only way to get that statistic is to go through with making them legal on campus.

to me it's like getting into a debate with someone, and then not letting the other person give a rebuttal is all.

I bought it off gunbroker from a guy in GA. It will be delivered on Friday and I'll post pics

I shot one last weekend when I was in Louisiana and fell in love with it.
