On the old board this was posted a million times, but I never saved the instructions.


Anybody still got them on hand on how to turn the big EXE into a normal bootable CD-R so t hat you can do a more traditional / bare metal install ?

I dunno, I'd just boot off a dos boot disk with CD drivers loaded and run it from the CD ...

That's under the assumption that the exe is made to work under a 16 bit DOS environment. Last time I used that big exe I think it firedup a little win32 lookin app - but its been over two years so I don't recall fully.

I think the setup program loads some shit up in 16-bit mode, writes some stuff to your hard drive, then reboots itself and keeps going....I dont know I could be mistaken it's been years since I've installed windows from a non-bootable CD sad.gif
