umm... he thinks he can have any type of attitude that he wants and get away with it because he is the almight great Bob Knight who hasnt done shit for our school. well, i take that back, when i tell someone where i go to school now they say "oh isnt that where Bobby Knight coaches?" instead of saying "uhh never heard of it". BIG FUCKING WHOOP. People here worship him like he is a god...and why I will never know because as stated before HE HASNT DONE SHIT FOR TEXAS TECH.

Indeed, it seems as if Knight - and this isn't a contest nor something I think coaches are obligated to do - has done more for the general student population of Texas Tech than Mike Leach, Marsha Sharp, Larry Hays or anyone else. Sharp has donated a considerable amount of money over her career to the university but those funds were predominately earmarked and used for the academic support of student-athletes.

When Knight first arrived at Texas Tech in 2001, he set-up the Bob Knight Library Fund with a donation of $25,000. In the years since, donations to the fund from contributors across the United States have nearly reached $200,000. He hasn't stopped donating either. The Knights have continued to do donate money as well as books (700+) from their personal libraries. Last May, for example, they donated $45,000 to the Texas Tech Libraries.

You are naive if you think that the publicity Knight provides doesn't help the university. How many, do you think, of those who contributed to the fund would have done so if Knight's name wasn't attached to it?

Furthermore, Jessica, how many books have you donated to the library? How much have you donated to the university?

when i said that he hasnt done shit for Texas Tech... I meant as far as our basketball team is concerned. he is supposed to be some big bad ass coach and well... yeah, seems to me like he fucking blows.

as far as donating to Texas Tech... you are right. I havent donated shit, but I also feel that I didnt get my 30,000 dollars worth. The education sucked (and before you start talking shit about philosophy... i had 4 majors before that and i left the dept because of the poor excuse for an education). I dont feel that I need to give this shitty excuse for a school anymore of my fucking money, but dont think that I dont donate money to causes I believe in. I donate money to the Red Cross all the time.

You say that your opinion won't change but it seems fairly obvious that your opinion isn't based on anything close to factual.

You do realize that Tech was ranked 11th in the Big 12 the year before he was hired? Tech has gone on to post-season play four out of his five seasons on the South Plains. And in 2005, the Red Raiders advanced to this little thing called the Sweet Sixteen.

The 2005-06 was an unqualified abortion of a basketball season, no question... but what do you expect when over half the squad is made up of newcomers (all but one of which were freshmen).

I just think you have sand in your vagina because a professor gave you a C+ instead of a B or something. The hiring of Bob Knight instantly elevated Tech from conference bottom-feeder to a relevant force in the Big 12.

you know nothing about me or my grades so you can stfu. Im mad because Tech was too fucking easy. I just love how I skipped all but five days in one of my classes and still made an A. I never went to class and felt no need to because when I did go, I never learned anything and I still mades A's.
