This is what I hate. If Tech goes to Cotton Bowl and Ole Miss is the Opponent we will have an 11-1 team playing an 8-4 team. It will also be a matchup of (BCS rankings as of today) #7 Texas Tech vs unranked Ole Miss. Conference bowl tie ins are stupid, Bowls should be able to match up the best combination so that we dont get crap like this.

i agree about an 8-4 ole miss team, but then i started reading some articles on espn and looking into their schedule....i didn't realize they had become so good at the end of the season. they're actually the 3rd best SEC team behind Bama and Florida, and they're the only team to beat Florida this year. They're on a huge hot streak, and I don't think it'd be a rollover!

Hmm...Didn't we play a #4 ranked Cal team at the Holiday Bowl a couple of years back when we were probably 9-3 or something and ranked in the late teens, early twenties? I guess the tide have changed... -------------------- ![]() |

I guess the tide have changed... i was actually thinking about this same thing the other day. we better go out there and play, instead of worry about those small things, or else we'll be unprepared. -------------------- ![]() |

It seems fitting that Texas Tech -- largest producing area of cotton in the world -- is going to the cotton bowl.

-------------------- A psychotic world we live in. The madmen are in power. How long have we known this? Faced this? And--how many of us do know it? Perhaps if you know you are insane then you are not insane. Or you are becoming sane, finally. Waking up. I suppose only a few are aware of all this. Isolated persons here and there. But the broad masses... what do they think? All these hundreds of thousands in this city, here. Do they imagine that they live in a sane world? Or do they guess, glimpse, the truth...?
