Tell what you did for Thanksgiving and Black Friday

For Thanksgiving, my husband made homemade mashed potatoes, and I made corn on the cob and rolls. We went over to a friend's house for dinner. Dinner was great. Then, baby Donovan became super ill and wouldn't stop throwing up. We took him to the ER. In a little over and hour, he had thrown up 9 times. He got to the point where he was throwing up bile. My poor baby had to get a lumbar puncture, blood drawn, an IV, and a catheter. Long story short, he is SUPER allergic to milk (not just lactose). We had started him on soy formula about a month and a half ago, but the doctor said she felt he was never allergic to milk and to switch him back. The first bottle of milk based formula caused all that. We figured that was the problem, but he was so sick when we took him to the hospital that they wanted to make sure he didn't have meningitis or anything else. Pretty scary time for us though. He is still sick to his stomach from that one bottle, but he is doing a lot better.

For black Friday, we went to Walmart and bought a bunch of DVD's and went to BabysRUs and bought a play pen and a crawl and cruise musical jungle. It wasn't that busy at either store. It seemed like a typical weekend. Then again, we didn't go until noon.

scary, but good to hear he's ok.

only a few places in seoul offer a thanksgiving meal, and the cheapest place was at the hard rock cafe. it was about $20 and wasn't that great... most of the other options would have been to go to a hotel like the grand hyatt, westin, hilton, etc. and their meals went from $85 - $115. yikes.

Think cooking Thanksgiving at home is hard, in Germany I had nothing to go off of.... The stuffing was a bitch to make for the inexperienced cook like myself.

For some reason when I read this post I thought about how funny it would be if you instead just played paddy-cake with yourself in the mirror for like 4 hours to "elf music" in the background laugh.gif
