So yesterday I was playing in this volleyball tournament at a local park. About half way through the day about 80 people showed up dressed as pirates. I never heard of hashes until this but it sounds interesting.
This is the local one for Tucson. Has anyone heard of this or done one before? http://www.hashingtucson.com/ -------------------- Southern Rock, beer and bears!

Heh yeah seen it on TV before, it wasn't running though it was hiking or something. Crazy stuff.

They call the guys who serve food in frat houses hashers ... it's usually a frat memeber trying to make a little extra cash if I remember right.

I did my first hash yesterday. Its basically a chase by following a trail marked by flour on the ground and chasing it for 3 to 6 miles, with possible bad trails and choice points until a point is reached where there is beer and food. I did two in a row and probably ran 8 miles plus change. Its pretty fun and exhausting.
