Sensitive about your grades much? Anyways, it would seem to me that you should be directing your sand-in-vagina anger over the university being too easy towards the colleges/academic departments in which you were involved instead of the athletic department?

And, please, to try to characterize me as biased towards Bob Knight is asinine. Ask Dean or any of the guys that I work with if I'm a ra-ra Knight guy. Hell, the last basketball game I attended this season was the Louisiana Tech game which was in early-December.

you know nothing about me or my grades so you can stfu. Im mad because Tech was too fucking easy. I just love how I skipped all but five days in one of my classes and still made an A. I never went to class and felt no need to because when I did go, I never learned anything and I still mades A's.

LOOK AT OUR GREAT SCHOOL THAT MADE IT TO THE SWEET 16....oh wait, nope....didnt even get close. He cant keep a cool temper to save his life. I think he is an embarrassment to our school.

Knight has helped Tech basketball. We're not a recruiting power-house, so we go through periods where we don't have the best players yet. We get young players, then after a few years we get better, like last year when we DID make it to the sweet 16. This year nobody expected us to go far or really anywhere due to how young our team is.

If you single out this year, yeah, we're no good. But overall since Knight has come here Tech's basketball team has become better.

Just because you hate someone/something doesn't mean that they're worthless. Get off your fucking high horse for once.

I'm not getting "butt hurt" and I'm not a fan of Bob Knight. I just realize that he is a good coach and has made our program better. So what if we haven't been to the final four, our team wasn't that good to begin with, progress takes time. Just because we haven't been to the final four in the past few years doesn't mean we suck as a program.

I'm just smart enough to realize when people are good at what they do whether I like them or not. You're basing his coaching ability on the fact that you just don't like him.

If he made it to the Final Four, but broke his assistant in half for asking what his favorite salad dressing was, would you like him?

What about if he went 0-16 in conference, but voluenteered at an elderly retirement community 40 hours a week instead?

its not me being senseless. I dont like his attitude at all. that started my dislike for him. It just grows bigger and bigger when i look at how our program will never be really great yet people look to him as if he can change that. yeah, we made it to the sweet 16, but i dont see that happening again for a long time...with or without bobby knight

Bobby Knight, three-time National Championship winner and the coach with the best winning percentage in all of college basketball history, was fired today from his position as head coach of the Indiana University's Men's Basketball team.

University president Myles Brand, who announced the firing at a news conference, called Knight "defiant and hostile" and said the coach had shown a "continued unwillingness" to work within guidelines of the athletic department. Brand also cited Knight's history that is laced with a "pattern of unacceptable behavior."

Most recently, in March, 2006, a student's heckling at Baylor University resulted in Knight having to be restrained by a police officer. The incident, though, was not severe enough to warrant any action from the Big 12 Conference.

I just think he refrains from such extreme displays of abuse in order to save his job. he still goes around cussing and acting violent. i didnt quote the source of the guy who said that Knight walked up to him and started grabbing and shaking him for saying something like "whats up" which Knight regarded as being disrespectful. I didnt because Knight said that he just touched the guy on the shoulder and verbally repremanded him. Im quoting stuff that is pretty much straight forward as having happened.

People don't go straight from sinners to saints ya know. It takes time, and gradually, they become better. I think he is better than he has been. He's still a little rough around the edges, as is expected.
