I was re-using your own insult to Palin dude. Sorry if you couldn't figure that part out...
And yes I think she deserves to be. WTF do you think is rehearsed? You're telling me a interview is rehearsed but that she should be doing press conferences that run off teleprompters!?!?! Are you kidding me? |

if she says "i have foreign policy experience, look how close i am to russia." i think that deserves a retarded question directed at her. -------------------- Don't sweat the petty, pet the sweaty.

1.) I was re-using your own insult to Palin dude. Sorry if you couldn't figure that part out... And yes I think she deserves to be. 2.) WTF do you think is rehearsed? You're telling me a interview is rehearsed but that she should be doing 3.) press conferences that run off teleprompters!?!?! Are you kidding me? 1.) No shit. 2.) "Talking points." Generic statements that can be used on certain topics. Example: "What do you think is the major difference between the counter-insurgency efforts in Afghanistan and Iraq?" ...Talking Point answer: Rambles on about the War on Terror and how "terrorists hate freedom." 3.) Press conferences...you know those things where one gives a nice speech and then fields lots of random questions? Yeah, I'd like to see her do some of those. -------------------- |

But that's the whole FUCKING point! She didn't ever say that! McCain hinted at it with some side remark at some public appearance. The media has taken that remark and run with it. She's "agreed" that the statement is ok. She didn't come out and boast "oooh look at me I live next to Russia!", the media is friggin DRILLING her with these dumbass questions. They would never treat Obama or Biden like that. |

1.) No shit. Well you seemed to get your panties in a wad so I figured I'd explain my choice of words. 2.) "Talking points." Generic statements that can be used on certain topics. Example: "What do you think is the major difference between the counter-insurgency efforts in Afghanistan and Iraq?" ...Talking Point answer: Rambles on about the War on Terror and how "terrorists hate freedom." If you're going to explain to me what you thought was rehearsed, type the shit out. Or at least tell me what point in the video to listen to. She has answered every damn question put to her in both of these interviews. No matter how stupid they were. 3.) Press conferences...you know those things where one gives a nice speech and then fields lots of random questions? Yeah, I'd like to see her do some of those. Ok dude. You came at me saying that she does "rehearsed interviews" and that you'd like to see her do more conferences. Are you really going to sit there and tell me you think that those interviews she has done are more rehearsed than a fucking speech that's read from a teleprompter!??! Are you fucking kidding me?! You think Palin sat down with Katie bitch Couric and Charlie dumbfuck Gibson and the interviers said "ok Sarah, we're going to ask you this question"? FUCK NO. Those media dipshits want to get some stupid damn surprise one liner reaction to their dumbass questions, so they can hand it to Obama for his campaign use. The awesome, hilarious part to me, is they haven't gotten it yet!! |

Regardless of who started the "living next to Russia = foreign policy experience" thing, Palin needs to put that idea to rest. She needs to say "no, I don't have the same kind of foreign policy experience that these other folks have, that's not why I was vetted. Instead, I bring XYZ to the table..." Acting otherwise just makes her look foolish.

"It's funny that a comment like that, ya know, I dunno, reporters [katie interrupts her with word "Mocking"], yes that works"
Sounds so scripted to me man. Geez they must have rehearsed that all day. You can tell she's practically reading that off a teleprompter. edit: I still LOL at that miss south carolina chick every time though. |

So would you say the Governer of Texas doesn't have any more experience with Mexican relations than the governor of Minnesota? Palin probably does have some small experience dealing with Russia, such as the trade missions she mentioned in the Couric interview. I'd like to hear more details, though, rather than just making general statements about proximity. I would expect the same of Perry with respect to Mexico or the Minnesota governor with Canada. -------------------- |

She did give details. She talked about trade missions and such. But keep in mind, Palin wasn't the one touting this statement, she simply sheepishly agreed with it and accused the reporters of mocking it. So I think demanding her justify it as some kind of massive basis of her entire political platform is kinda silly. Obviously she doesn't have much foreign policy experience. IMHO that's a GOOD thing.

Both parties use them all them, not saying it's just a Palin-only tactic, but she is just so blatant with them. -------------------- |
