But that's the whole FUCKING point! She didn't ever say that! McCain hinted at it with some side remark at some public appearance. The media has taken that remark and run with it. She's "agreed" that the statement is ok. She didn't come out and boast "oooh look at me I live next to Russia!", the media is friggin DRILLING her with these dumbass questions. They would never treat Obama or Biden like that.

Palin probably does have some small experience dealing with Russia, such as the trade missions she mentioned in the Couric interview. I'd like to hear more details, though, rather than just making general statements about proximity. I would expect the same of Perry with respect to Mexico or the Minnesota governor with Canada.

But keep in mind, Palin wasn't the one touting this statement, she simply sheepishly agreed with it and accused the reporters of mocking it. So I think demanding her justify it as some kind of massive basis of her entire political platform is kinda silly. Obviously she doesn't have much foreign policy experience. IMHO that's a GOOD thing.
