I just got Dish, because my new roommate has a two year contract or something.

Jesus H Christ does it suck. No HD channels, no semblance of programming order (as much as I hated Time Warner, at least they grouped all the sports and music channels together), no Fox Sports (I actually had to waste time going to the UT game cause I couldn't watch it on my own tv), ESPN U costs extra, no option of getting any of the other Fox Sports regional channels, ESPN actually BLACKS OUT if whatever game they're showing isn't a sellout, no TBS/TNT on demand (that costs extra), etc etc

On the bright side, it does have NFL network. I was wondering where all those anchors that ESPN fired ended up going

ummm I used to have Dish Network, and they had HD channels for an extra price each month (as with any cable or satellite provider). I don't remember the channel sequences though, but I just memorized the few channels I enjoyed watching.

Definitely have HD channels. My parents have 'em. You just have to get an HD Dish, Receiver, and Subscription, I think it is.

my roommate paid for HD for like 3 months before dish turned it on. I agree they group in a very stupid way.

I have DISH HD and it's only 24.99 a month for the basic package, then 5 for the locals, and then five for the DVR service.

Channel groupings are kinda weird, but I'm used to them by now. I think Will just ordered the wrong package and didn't do any research. GG Will.

I'm betting that Will didn't order or research squat, considering that it's his roommate that has the contract. Epic fail, Jim.
