the site is blocked while i'm at work, is that by any chance a folding stock? if it is, i'm sold, i'd buy one even if it was $300 because thats the only flaw i've had with the plr-16 right now, no stock

A folding stock can be done...it would just take a bit of gunsmithing and a $200 AOW stamp for it becoming a "short-barreled rifle."

I of course weighed the badassedness of shooting the 105mm howitzer and showing it off against the almost 100% certainty of photoshops involving penises. I decided it was much cooler to have shot a howitzer and then make fun of the fag who actually spent an hour or two of his time looking at cocks hoping to find just the right penis picture to paste. not to mention the fairly reasonable (I'd say 30-40%) chance that a moderator would edit and re-link the picture as showing a large penis is most decidedly NSFW.

Went to Oklahoma to visit my sister and bro-in-law, who is a capn of a field artillery battalion at Ft Sill. It was a big deal bc supposedly they don't allow that very often but since we were family of the CO and Ike refugees it was cool. He said if it was a few years ago I might have gotten to keep the spent shell. That sucker is awesome, can shoot up to something like 9 miles.

I bought a 9mm Browning BDM (Browning Dual/Double Mode) off gunbroker.com two weeks ago from a guy that literally has had it in his safe since 1996.

The Browning BDM was produced from 1991-1998 and it is quite a unique handgun. It is incredibly slim, easily one of the slimmest full-size 9mm handguns ever made. The BDM's most unusual feature is a switch on the left hand side of the slide that lets you switch between double-action/single-action (DA/SA) "pistol" mode and double-action-only (DAO) or "revolver" mode. Despite its all-steel construction the gun is relatively light and weighs in at 28 ounces unloaded which is the same weight as an unloaded alloy-framed SIG P226.

When the BDM first debuted it received glowing reviews by all the handgun experts and was believed by many to be the "wondernine" of the future. Unfortunately the BDM was not successful for a number of reasons, the first and foremost being that it debuted literally months before the 1994 AW and hi-cap ban. The BDM also had a steep price-tag at the time and wasn't marketed heavily by Browning which may have also contributed to its lack of commercial success. It's quite unfortunate the BDM didn't take off as much as it should have since it's great pistol.

It was considered for the Secret Service and then rejected because it couldn't handle +P+ ammo. It was withdrawn, re-designed, and strengthened but Browning missed out on the contract because of the delay. Thanks to the re-development the resulting final product was superbly reliable and robust.

If you want to carry a wondernine inside the waistband then the BDM is perfect since it is flat. It might not be the one true sword but it has some very admirable qualities. The BDM is different and I like different, it's good gun to add to the collection.
