I like when a Vice Unit is under a different police jurisdiction, and not just to themselves.

saw a pretty interesting quote in reference to a news story about gas prices increasing due to hurricanes shutting down drilling in the gulf:
QUOTE Why is it that when a hurricane shuts down our gulf oil platforms we see huge jumps in gas prices in a matter of days, but the Democrats say that expanding our offshore oil drilling will only reduce gas prices by pennies?

Oil dropped $7 yesterday to $108.52 after Gustav was weaker than expected. Labor day is over, the dollar is up (1.45/EU now). Short of a devastating hurricane or world war 3, looks like oil will continue to fall.

It's odd to me that people who preach diplomacy over physical violence are fine with destroying property and what is essentially rioting. Amy Goodman was "unlawfully" arrested in the same episode: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/tom-dantoni/...r_b_123062.html -------------------- "There is a level of cowardice lower than that of the conformist: that of the fashionable non-conformist." |

What pisses me off about most anarchist, is that they couldn't survive without a government.

Economy is in the shitter...
Needs a solution to prevent "another Great Depression." (Seems many news articles are likening this crisis to that fiasco) ...but is anyone else concerned about all of these private businesses being bought out by the government/government institutions? Not to mention the fact that all of these buyouts could cost as much as $1 Trillion of taxpayer money. I like gambling, but not that damned much! -------------------- |

I don't like the bailouts/buyouts. It costs taxpayer money and I suspect that the government will do an even worse job of running these companies than their former CEOs did. Sometimes I wish I weren't so darn cynical.

yup then I'm heading here: ![]() Goose Lake, NM. Secluded, hard to reach.... survivalist hermit++ sounds good. i'm thinking of buying a ruger 10/22 before i buy the keltec, simply for rounding out my survivability, and surplusing over 1000 rds for it. with the ak-47 on the fast track to improvement, i'm thinking i got the combat covered for now (found a front lower rail for the ak that only costs $67, and also found out that i can get a side mounted picatinny scop mount drilled and tapped that works WAY better than a gastube or dust cover rail mount for fairly cheap AIM -------------------- |
