ah really. though sometimes I'm weary of stuff like this, as there's always some kooks who have to blow through content as fast as humanly possible.

I read that you'll be able to play Spore on iPhones as well. Looks cool, but I don't have a gaming computer anymore.

It's okay. It was hyped up to be the next evolution in video games. Completely change the industry. Didn't quite deliver in that aspect, neccesarily, but it is fun while you are playing it.

Actually, I installed it and played it for a little while and noticed that it wasn't very technical and so easy that any casual gamer could get into it.
I fired up a new game and had my girlfriend come play it and she loved it. I am into stuff a little more challenging, so watching her play it and explore was probably more fun that actually playing it myself.

All in all...was hyped to be super awesome. In the end, it's ...okay.

Yeah Black & White seemed like such a cool concept, and I played it some, but ultimately it was a let down.

Yes, but I still go back and play Black & White from time to time. Spore seems like it will lose its luster after a couple days.

Although, admittedly, I'm not much of a PC gamer anymore. I just upgraded my PC and played through Crysis. My girlfriend still plays the Sims games...

I still go back to Company of Heroes from time to time too because it's just that badass.

95% of the stuff coming out on PC/Console these days is just complete junk.

I've played Spore right up to the start of the tribal stage, pretty fun so far. The creature stage was fun as hell. Amoeba stage was cool but went very fast.

I'm in the tribal stage as well. I liked the creature stage, but I'm experiencing some frustration with the camera controls on tribal.

oh really... haven't gotten that far yet. I just got to the tribal stage and quit for that night. had some memory prob w/my main pc, used that as an excuse to upgrade mobo/cpu/memory, ordered the stuff, then realized the old stuff was fine, so haha bout to have a 4th PC (new main pc will be a monster). I'm sure the PC on the bottom of the totem pole will go to my parents or sister or something.

will probably pick back up on spore when the parts get in and I get it all built (tues-wed). my buddy has me trying out warhammer online, it's ok, they have some cool ideas (public group quests are neat), it just seems a lot is rehashed from previous games and the gfx are terrible IMHO for a brand new game. the models are a little more complex than WoW but the textures & spell effects and such are not good. you can definitely tell the difference WoW makes in having an army of artists nowadays. though I will say the buildings/cities are done very well in WAR.
