Eh. It's whatever to me. I stopped pirating because my husband likes to buy cd's, and I like to buy movies. No need to download anything.

In other news: We got Comcast the other day, and their customer service sucks gigantic donkey balls. They wanted to send a tech out when all that simply needed to be done was register the modem they issued us. Simple as us giving them the numbers on the modem. I knew this. I told them this. Instead, they connect me with some retard female tech support agents in Louisiana who think that our modem doesn't work. After 4 phone calls we finally get a competent MALE technician in Jacksonville, FL. Why do women tech support operators suck so badly? Seriously, from now on, I think I am just going to keep calling and hanging up until I get a guy. They usually are a lot more polite and a lot more competent.

Take it from someone who worked as a programmer for a major customer service provider. The agents suck because they're bottom barrel jobs. They're bottom barrel jobs because (A) people don't want to sit and listen to people bitch all day (cool.gif because the pay sucks. The pay sucks because it's expensive as hell to keep 1000+ people sitting around at phones all day (often 24-7). It's like expecting wonderful customer service from burger king or something. Yeah, it'd be nice if it was better, but honestly I think people's expectations of customer service over the phone are way too high. I've definitely lowered my expectations. If I have to call customer service for anything, I clear aside at least an hour, and assume that I'll have to call back at least a couple times and re-explain my situation. I also assume that whatever it is I want done either won't get done in the time period I want it done in, or won't get done at all.

I usually know to expect lousy customer service. My complaint was more that female customer service technicians irritate the fuck out of me.
