I don't think McCain could have picked a better VP choice ...

She's pro gun, pro public-access, pro-oilfield and is apparently an avid snowmobiler and atv'er....

Wonder who I'm gonna vote for now, hahaha laugh.gif

Given the situation, she is absolutely the best pick. And this choice just may push McCain to victory.

And how badass is this... 44 year old MILF VP candidate with an M16...

No one's aware of her currently being investigated in Alaska? She doesn't have a good track record against corruption.

Investigation dogs Alaska governor
By STEVE QUINN – Aug 14, 2008

JUNEAU, Alaska (AP) — Gov. Sarah Palin, a rising young GOP star mentioned as a possible running mate for John McCain, could see her clean-hands reputation damaged by a growing furor over whether she tried to get her former brother-in-law fired as a state trooper.

A legislative panel has launched a $100,000 investigation to determine if Palin dismissed Alaska's public safety commissioner because he would not fire the trooper, Mike Wooten. Wooten went through a messy divorce from Palin's sister

I've read it's quite the opposite.

But what's completley rediculous is, the news media won't shed any light on 30 years of corruption by Obama's VP pick ... Fascinating, isn't it?

Yeah I read about that in her wiki page:

QUOTE
Public Safety Commissioner dismissal
Main article: Alaska Public Safety Commissioner dismissalOn July 11, 2008, Palin dismissed Public Safety Commissioner Walter Monegan, later asserting that he had not adequately filled state trooper vacancies, and that he "did not turn out to be a team player on budgeting issues."[59] She instead offered him a position as executive director of the state Alcoholic Beverage Control Board, which he turned down.[60][61]

Her power to fire him is not in dispute, but Monegan alleged that his dismissal may have been partly in retaliation for his reluctance to fire Palin's former brother-in-law, Alaska State Trooper Mike Wooten, who had been involved in a divorce and child custody battle with Palin's sister, Molly McCann.[62] Wooten was suspended in 2006 for ten days after an internal police investigation found "a serious and concentrated pattern of unacceptable and at times, illegal activity." After the union protested it, the suspension was reduced to five days.[63] On July 28, 2008, a bipartisan committee of the Alaska Legislature voted 12-0 to hire an independent investigator to investigate Palin and her staff for possible abuse of power surrounding the dismissal.[64]

If this is the only thing they can dig up, I think she's pretty squeaky clean. But if someone doesn't think she has a good track record vs corruption, all they need to do is read the wiki on her and they'll see just the opposite.

I'd fire the asshole too if he didn't fire a DPS officer for serious concentrated patterns of illegal activity. If it's proven that Wooten was breaking laws, and the commissioner didn't fire him, then Palin is in the clear and actually badass for standing up to that shit.

And I have to agree with Dogmeat on how convenient it is that the media avoids all of Biden's bullshit so they can at least try and keep Obama in a good light.

Obama Osama better not be the next president.
