well the hurricane wont be there by even saturday, and it's highly doubtful it's heading towards georgia. I'd guess you'll be fine. it's not even supposed to technically be into the gulf until sunday.

I just called the hotel in New Orleans though and if the mayor issues an assisted evacuation on Friday like he is saying he might, they cancel all reservations. It would be stupid to find another hotel there in the event that happens because traffic will be hell on Saturday trying to get out of there

Or he could put a dog door in the side of the garage... He's on a leash and wouldn't be able to get inside regardless of a dog door -------------------- ![]() ![]() |

He's on a leash and wouldn't be able to get inside regardless of a dog door For some reason I thought dogs inside Austin couldn't be leashed. Maybe that law is somewhere in CA. -------------------- ![]() |

That law passed. You can't have a dog tethered in your yard. If someone called the ASPCA you'd be in a world of butthurt.

Jessica they're saying now it's not supposed to make landfall until Tuesday... I bet you'll be fine. You might get greeted by Hurricane Hanna though in Georgia heheh.

looks like Hanna is going to turn in towards the gulf... we might get a double-dose here. God I hope we don't have to leave. that would suck to have to pack everything up.

If they institute an evacuation tomorrow like they are planning, all of New Orleans will be closed to non-residents (ie: hotels will close their doors). We are thinking of taking an alternate route and stopping in either Baton Rouge, LA, or Mobile, AL.

prob a good idea
nasa is already mentioning that we need to do all our hurricane "procedures" (i.e. turn off our PCs and put this plastic bag over them) before we leave tomorrow. |
