Shoot, as an RA I can't tell you how many times I had parents calling the front office trying to find out about their kids or wanting us to follow up on them and see where they went and what they were doing.

that is like my first roommates' mom.

parents have gotten a little better now that popular culture adopted the actual research term "helicopter parent." Parents have started to see how annoying they can be and have lightened up on us a bit (at least in my experience) and are acknowledging that we deal with the students, not with them.

we'll see how it goes. the desire for in loco parentis comes and goes through the generations.

they price gas at what they bought it at, so I guarantee you it will continue to fall for a little while longer. oil went up $3 two days ago but gas kept going down. you're right though labor day might have some effect. but I'd imagine it keeps falling at least another week. saw $3.25 at wal mart yesterday. 'normal' price around here is sitting at about $3.35.

Oil fell over $6 a barrel today.
Man it's been volatile, even more so than usual, over the past couple weeks.

....but keep on tumblin' down! =)

geez, up like $6 yesterday then down $6 today... honestly I think the bottom is going to fall out soon. the dollar keeps getting stronger so people are turning back to domestic investments.

Unless he picks someone like Condoleeza Rice, I don't see the VP decisions making any difference for either candidate.

So apparently I was dead wrong. I didn't realize Obama would choose someone who's spoken out against him and for McCain!

and Jessica, what can't you stand about Romney's religious views?
