So El Paso is close to Juarez Mexico. This year there's been a drug war that's getting out of hand. So far in 08 about {edit}800+ homicides in Juarez alone.
So here's the situation. Thomason Hospital is the county hospital in El Paso, TX. What is happening is people are getting shot in Juarez and are being brought to the US (El Paso) to THomason hospital. At least 2x this year the hospital has been on lockdown with EPPD and Sherriff's guarding the perimeter of the hospital. Here are some stats form the article below:
What's your thought on Mexican citizens (yes some had citizenship but some did not) being transported to the US for medical care and getting treatment with US taxpayer money. This post has been edited by woody: Aug 18 2008, 10:35 AM -------------------- |

mexico needs to build their own hospitals and train their own doctors if they want health care, basically rise up and make a better life in mexico instead of mooching off the u.s.
of course they need incentive to do this... letting them die in the street outside the hospital might be incentive enough (but we know mexicans are lazy so it probably won't be) |

Who's bringing the people from Juarez over to the US?!?! So is this the new way to get into the US illegally? "Hey you shoot me, I'll shoot you, and the US will come pick us up!"

I think, not 100% it goes like this:
either: The hospital in Mexico call the Hospital in the US the US send an ambulance to the bridge to pick the person up then bring the person to the US hospital or the wounded person walks to the half way point at the top of the bridge (no US Border Patrol at the top of the bridge, only the bottom of the bridge) at this point, they are on US soil and federal law says the hospital must accept them. -------------------- |

Mount a sniper up high. If they see a wounded person coming over, shoot them before they get to our side and call it a kill of compassion, similar to putting down a horse with a broken leg.

Basically, the below image is at the top of the bridge. Once you cross that little gold line and your in the "Boundary of the USA", you can't be denied a hospital visit.

We don't close off our borders because the drug trade is one of the biggest pocket liners for politicians. Just like the oil industry with its lobbyists.
I'm just hoping the revolution happens during my lifetime and we completely rape all the douchebags that are fucking this country in the ass. -------------------- "Ah, y'know it's funny, these people they go to sleep, they think everything's fine, everything's good.
