Seems like the iPhone is brighter, I think is what Jonathan meant. The whites in the HTC just aren't that white. Might be in a power saver mode though, so hard to say without all the info.

Dunno, I'd never get a phone like that to begin with. Not into the whole handheld device thing; rather use a laptop or desktop when I get to one.

trust me I dug around, coudn't find jack about either display's color depth. though I'd venture a guess that the touch pro is prob 16 bit color.

well to each his own. I don't really browse the internet all the time with mine, though it does come in handy. the biggest features I use the most often are simply having an easy way to sync up all my contacts/calendar items, as well as having quick access to search googlemaps (including using the GPS). some people check their email all the time with them, but I don't. I never used to use the calendar stuff, but once I got a phone that syncs, it's invaluable (especially given how forgetful I am). I put everything on there. holidays, people's birthdays, paydays, my sports team schedules, work meetings, event dates, hell even stuff like an item being released on a certain date that I want to get.

I'm still holding out. Wanting to find out the deal on that HTC T-Mobile phone running Andriod, and the Samsung Omnia. Looks like they got some US versions in the works.

It looks like we may be getting a U.S.-friendly version of the Samsung OMNIA in the near future. Two new versions of the device are currently making their way through the FCC and CDMA and 3G appear to be on the horizon.

When we reviewed the Omnia i900, much praise was given for the device’s features. With a 5-megapixel camera, Opera 9.5, and a slick interface, everything would have been rosy if not for one thing. It lacked 3G. Sporting only UMTS 2100 MHz, the phone was behind the competition and we could not in recommend it without stipulation.

But now, two new devices, the i910 and the i907 have gone through the FCC and though nothing is official yet, things are looking up for Samsung. The i910 has CDMA, lacks a SIM card slot and is expected to be announced on Verizon Wireless. The i907 looks different than the current OMNIA, but it will likely possess the same features and be headed toward AT&T, which means 3G.

Sprint's pushed back their release date -- should be within the next two or three weeks. They're using some line about making sure all their stores have enough in inventory. Considering they're not marketing this phone at ALL, which is a DAMN shame, i'm finding that hard to believe. Either way, I'll have mine on or around Nov. 1st, when my full upgrade kicks in. I played with the Diamond (already out) the other day, it was spiffy but i'm not sold on the TouchFlo stuffs... it's a big resource hog too.

They're like almost $800 at best buy... sprint's price was rumored to be about 549 or 599... I'll definately wait since i'm using my sprint upgrade anyways, but i hope the price is as rumored... are there any updates on that?
