The Celebrity one does nothing but point out the truth. I mean, you give any German free brats and beer and they'll scream whatever name you want them to. Trying to link Obama to Brittney Spears and Paris Hilton was a bit over the top though. QUOTE I just don't know how people can't see through his phoniness... the man hardly had the credentials to lead this country. This IS a valid concern. And if the McCain campaign would put more focus on this area, I'd be more inclined to listen to him. But thus far, I haven't seen anything but the same old tired Republican attacks. Obama doesn't support our troops, he's in league with "liberal hollywood", he plays the race card (apparently it's wrong of Obama to mention that he's black), and he's a flip flopper. We've heard it all before. I think the public's tiring of attack politics and will punish McCain at the polls if he keeps it up. If McCain wants to win the election, he needs to prove that he's the elder statesman that he is (or should be), and not just by making campaign ads pointing it out. Simply saying that someone's inexperienced can be too easily turned into saying that they're new blood who will change things (which Obama has done). McCain needs to prove to the country that his policies are superior to Obama's, which I don't think he's done. -------------------- Holy shit, pebkac, you're awesome! That is a possibility, and such wouldn't be politically wrong. I think it's a bit nuanced for a 30 second campaign ad though. But then I suppose the 30 second campaign ad is a pretty poor way to convey much more than "tough on crime" or "will show big business who's boss." It's too bad that they're so damn effective. -------------------- Holy shit, pebkac, you're awesome! That obama quote is pretty weird. I talked to some people talking about Obama at a party the other night and they think that he is going to save humanity.

Wonder if he's going to support some national ID card with some association to people's right hand (fingerprints perhaps?)...

What does everyone think of the Global Poverty Act: http://www.worldnetdaily.com/index.php?fa=...mp;pageId=56405
Between this, his promise to change the environment, etc. Obama sounds like a socialist. -------------------- "There is a level of cowardice lower than that of the conformist: that of the fashionable non-conformist." |

I think the public's tiring of attack politics and will punish McCain at the polls if he keeps it up. McCain's attack strategy paying dividends QUOTE Intensified attacks by Republican John McCain on the character of his Democratic opponent have coincided with Barack Obama losing a nine percentage point advantage in a national poll, which showed the candidates running dead even over the weekend. I think unofficial "polls" are complete and utter bullshit, but just saying. -------------------- ![]() A government big enough to give you everything you want is a government big enough to take from you everything you have. |

Look at these ads for what they are. Cheap (youtube is free) low-budget attempts to connect with the younger generation (those who watch youtube) by using an, admittedly, old fashioned sense of humor that, in it's attempt to be 'hip' and 'with it', turns out to be creepy and confusing.

Maybe so nickluto, but I cannot begin to imagine what's in store for this country if the ads fail.

I think the reason that he was likened to celebrities is that because he gets so much media attention, sometimes when there is a slow news day some of the sillier news programs will run something like "See if Obama is a boxers or a briefs man! When we come back on Access Hollywood!" and all that nonsense, similar to what you read on all of the gossip rags about celebs.
