Let's argue taser guns again!!!!!!! Options

I think tasers are overused, but they are good alternatives to using deadly force. Sure doesn't seem like deadly force was needed here.

How can there be an alternative to something that is a last resort? If there's an alternative, then it's not a last resort, now is it.

And (this part's not directed at Jessica) I'm pretty sure cops are, in fact, trained in first aid. I mean, come on, they're usually the first to arrive at a scene. That statement about them not being trained is just silly.

Ok, I just looked up TxDPS and "advanced first aid" was in the training description, which is logical. One can safely assume the same training is provided in all academies.

I always figured the taser was a means of detaining suspects who are a physical threat to themselves or others. Cops are using it as an alternative to pepper spray, though... which is more of a way of calming an unruly person to cuff them (or calming one who is already in cuffs) than it is capturing one. I don't know. That's just my thoughts. Yeah, guns are still necessary, but tasers can be an alternative at times.

This bitching about tasering is getting annoying... so there have been some misunderstandings resulting in some people getting tasered that maybe shouldn't have. I still haven't seen a case where someone was tasered who completely complied with the cops. Also how about the number of people who are still alive because of them??? How about going back to just guns and havings people get killed over misunderstandings? Or cops getting killed because they didn't want to shoot the person? What's next? Water balloons? Then the criminals will complain their clothes got wet and the cops were cruel.
