http://www.yahoo.com/s/903298 Crazy White House...saying global warming is responsible for the Midwest flooding. I don't see that released by the white house anywhere. If you look at the text that Brokaw quotes in that video, and actually research the source, it shows it's from a 162 page study by the NOAA. Where they got "White House" out of that I have no clue. http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/conte...ml?hpid=topnews QUOTE The 162-page study, which was led by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, provides the most comprehensive assessment yet of how global warming has helped to transform the climate of the United States and Canada over the past 50 years -- and how it may do so in the future.
Coming at a time when record flooding is ravaging the Midwest, the new report paints a grim scenario in which severe weather will exact a heavy toll. The report warned that extreme weather events "are among the most serious challenges to society in coping with a changing climate." |

QUOTE You may be a Taliban if…
1. You refine heroin for a living, but you have a moral objection to beer. 2. You own a $3,000 machine gun and $5,000 rocket launcher, but you can't afford shoes. 3. You have more wives than teeth. 4. You wipe your butt with your bare left hand, but consider bacon "unclean." 5. You think vests come in two styles: bullet-proof and suicide. 6. You can't think of anyone you HAVEN'T declared Jihad against. 7. You consider television dangerous, but routinely carry explosives in your clothing. 8. You were amazed to discover that cell phones have uses other than setting off roadside bombs. 9. You've often uttered the phrase, "I love what you've done with your cave." 10. You have nothing against women and think every man should own at least one. 11. You bathe at least monthly whether necessary or not. 12. You have a crush on your neighbor's goat. |

QUOTE NEW YORK - Wall Street has — at least for the moment — shrugged off some of its many concerns and bounded higher thanks to a drop in oil prices. The Dow Jones industrial average has shot up 276 points to the 11,239 level, its biggest jump in more than three months. Investors were relieved when crude fell $4.14 to settle at $134.60 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. That brought oil's two-day plunge to more than $10. Wells Fargo & Co.'s decision to boost its dividend is also alleviating some of the market's concerns about the health of banks. Please keep sliding, oil prices! KEEP SLIDING DOWN TO THE PITS OF HELL! -------------------- |

Not to be a skeptic but i'll be happy about it end of day tomorrow if it's still at that price. So far the last few weeks, every time oil drops significantly, it shoots back up the next day because of some oil worker in timbuktu sneezed.

But the market is so volatile right now, it probably will shoot up again. It would be nice to see it close the week with a continued string of losses though. =) -------------------- |

QUOTE Supposed Murder Ruled Suicide--Real Life CSI Case Reported by: Amy Montalvo Authorities say a man believed to have been kidnapped and murdered while on his way to Lubbock actually committed suicide. Thomas Hickman--regional manager for Red Lobster-- was headed to Lubbock back in March when he disappeared. His body was found in a field in eastern New Mexico. He had been shot once in the back of the head. Authorities now say Hickman staged his death to look like murder. They believe he duct taped his own mouth and even tied a gun to several helium balloons to make it float away after he pulled the trigger. ....wow. ![]() -------------------- |

looks like it dipped again and settled at $129.29. definitely good news but I'm still skeptical. If it can stay at this price or continue to fall for a continuous week I'll start being optimistic

I've been watching this closely for the past several weeks. It looks like Lubbock may actually go wet relatively soon, albeit in certain districts. -------------------- |
