Looks very WOWish but the end of the game play video looked extremely promising (regarding to how gritty it looked). I just don't want too polished of a game thats too kid friendly. Need the grit and gore that made me love the other games.

Oh, and i love the fact i can still install diablo one on a present computer and have it run flawlessly.

Watched the gameplay vid, it looks pretty far along. Looks awesome too. Honestly they do so well with these games, improving them but not taking away from the original.

My big question for Blizzard is, with both StarCraft 2 and Diablo 3 announced, and using Battle.net, I wonder if Battle.net will remain free.

Don't think they could justify making people pay for battle.net. It's just one big chat room.

Two big new Battle.net games and you don't think they could justify it? I think you underestimate them wink.gif. Not to mention the FAQ is already bragging that they'll be enhancing bnet quite a bit. No tellin though. I guess I could see them charging for bnet a little less than they charge for wow, and then offering a package deal for bnet + wow.

If they charge for bnet, then someone else could just come out with a cheaper version that does the same thing.

For instance, what ever happened to Microsoft's The Zone. Didn't they require a subscription fee at some point. And now? Dodo.

well it was just a guess, hopefully they wouldn't charge, but just wouldn't be surprised.

on a diablo note, hearing about this made me get out the ol' game and play some. I forgot how much fun D2 was, hacknslash at its finest. I noticed they actually released a patch for D2 + exp (as well as for starcraft and WC3) a couple weeks ago, allowing you play their games without the CD.
