Anyone can find liberally slanted sites to post. I like to base my assumptions of a candidate on facts. I'm not even gonna bother going through that link because I know it's probably a bunch of BS.

Haha, the article includes news sources where McCain says one thing and then other news source where he completely flip-flops!
You've chosen your candidate though and put your blinders on so I don't expect you to do any independent unbiased research. |

I've done unbiased research. Obama recants numerous statements as well. I'm not gonna base my opinion of a candidate off of media views on a candidate.

What McCain says he believes in is NOT reflected by his voting record. Why the discrepancy? Why does he lie? Why does he pander to whatever crowd he's speaking to?
And no I'm not recommending you vote for Obama either. |

I don't have a problem with McCain's voting record. I actually have been reading up on that quite a bit lately. I do think, though, that as times change so will a Senator/Representative's vote on certain issues. McCain has been in office a long time.
And no I'm not recommending you vote for Obama either. |

Obama has been referred to as the most liberal voter in the Senate. I don't want that. I want someone who will ride the line so to speak. Rumors are going around that McCain is considering Lieberman as VP mate, among others. That would be interesting. A Republican President with a Democratic Vice President. I actually think that would be really cool.

My god this man speaks slowly. If I understand this correctly, Iraqi leaders are saying that U.S. forces are making great progress over there, and they are hoping for the U.S.'s continued support. Then, Obama says he wants to withdraw the troops ASAP anyway. Please, correct me if I am wrong. At one point he says that he wants to continue the progress over there, but he is still wanting to remove the troops in as little as 16 months. From what I understand from my military friends, we are nowhere close to finishing the job over there. Leaving would cause us to pretty much lose a large amount of gained ground. He wants the Iraqi forces to step up more. They have been, but the men over there are in severe need of supplies including shoes. You can't go in, tear down a country, start to build it up, start to train the locals, and then step out and say..."READY, SET, GO! You're on your own." |

I would like to add to Jessica's post. It really has nothing to do with McCain and more on Iraq.
A close personal friend of mine from Houston just got back from Iraq after his 3rd tour. I got to see pictures of the changes Iraq has undergone since our occupancy. New state of the art schools for children. Girls can now go to school where under the last regime they were banned. New state of the art hospitals with even better technology than some of our own hospitals in the States. New roads, mosques, government infrastructure, businesses. People who wanted to start businesses have been able to do so, when before, Saddam would kill them if they tried. New utilities for thousands of homes where they never had running water or electricity. They're even getting to set up their own television stations where they get to broadcast THEIR own shows....not Saddam propaganda. Fuck every single one of those cocksucking terrorists who want to fight progress for their own people. Fuck every singe one of those jihadists who would rather see us dead than see their own kids learning and expanding their minds. Fuck every single one of you who want to turn Iraq against Bush. Sure he may have lied about our purpose for going in there but goddammit it was for the good. Iraqis couldn't be better off. It's the people who hate change that keep fighting us. So electing Obama simply because you hate Bush and the Iraq War is fucking cop out shitty ass dick licking thing to do. -------------------- "Ah, y'know it's funny, these people they go to sleep, they think everything's fine, everything's good. They wake up the next day and they're on fire."
