yeah by the time I beat Oblivion, Nights of the Nine, and Shivering Isles ... my character was so powerful I could literally just obliterate entire towns. I even pretty well took out all of Imperial city once, but the guards kept respawning and I got bored killing them. I think my bouty at one point was over 180,000 gold Yeah, i turned my character 100% invisible and when i attacked people they couldn't see me, thus wouldn't attack me... Got boring, but i guess that was my own fault... I guess one of my biggest gripes was the enemy scaling. No matter what the enemies were just as hard or easy to kill as when you started. In fallout you could be wiped out in the first battle if you were stupid enough to go straight to the gangs hideout to fight them. -------------------- |

I dunno, I still liked Oblivion, but yeah, the enemies didn't seem to get a whole lot tougher throughout the game ... I hope with fallout it's different, but then again, you can only do so much with scripted AI, and most of us have been video gamers for so long now we've pretty well got the knack for adapting to whatever game AI there is ... heh -------------------- I r Ur Gawd!

If i have a big gun i expect to kill bigger things than with the single shot pistol. I don't expect to take down power armor with a pistol. Oblivion is fine and all, i just dont want fallout to be oblivion with guns... that would make constant gaurd respawns (not in fallout), make all choices pretty pointless (they said they'd fix that). would make leveling up a lot less appealing (didn't like oblivions system). would have oblivion dialogue options which got annoying. Would have a lot less options for how to go about missions like beating game without killing (oblivion had one option usually... click the attack button til finished) and would generally just not have the feel of a fallout game for me. Maybe a good oblivian type game, but not fallout. Anyway, they said they would fix a lot of those issues, im just concerned it'll be too much like oblivion which would not be a fallout game to me. -------------------- |
