Well ... judging from the latest screen shots on the Bethesda site, they at least got the gore and violence right ...

Looks good! Now make sure they got the drugs, sex, and freedom to kill people by sneaking around and injecting them with said drugs when they aren't looking, we'll have a fallout game on our hands!

Welp ... I got a little trigger happy when I went to GameStop today:

They gave me that when I pre-ordered it laugh.gif

It's supposed to ship 10/7/2008, so that means I should have my hot little hands on it the second week of october.

You see, there was a reason I pre-ordered this early: I am hoping to god that this game is so dirty and violent and gritty that after the first release comes out the feds freak out and make them tone it down .... So I definatley want one of the originals with all the good stuff laugh.gif

This game gets less and less appealing every time i think of it being made by bethesda. Oblivion was a pointless game that couldn't build any interest for me. Fallout is the best RPG ever made (to me)... some how i doubt they'll live up to that expectation.

I could be wrong (which i hope), but i refuse to get my hopes up for this game.

resident evil 5 and borderlands on the otherhand.....

A major complaint of Oblivion is that it was too open-ended. I'd imagine that's his, too. I enjoyed Oblivion on the computer, even with the crashes; however, I tried playing it on my PS3 and absolutely hate it. Having a bow as your primary weapon on a game controller is a pain in the ass - no precision.

Well we don't really have the same taste in my opinion...

that said... it wasn't horrible, but i just didn't like oblivion. I got bored after become the head of the mage, assassin and theif guild (enemies) and still had no change in the effect of the world. Shit happened, but never seemed to change anything in the game. I'd murder an entire town, pay my own guild (Me being masked whatever) and then go about my merry way. The quests seemed pointless and i never gained anything really from doing them... more just busy work.

Oh and having to continually jump and make retarded potions that i never used in order to level up pissed me off.

As i said, i don't hate oblivion honestly, but its was a pretty crappy game for me. Thats not to say i don't have it installed and turn it on every once in a while in order to GTA around in the world.

yeah by the time I beat Oblivion, Nights of the Nine, and Shivering Isles ... my character was so powerful I could literally just obliterate entire towns. I even pretty well took out all of Imperial city once, but the guards kept respawning and I got bored killing them. I think my bouty at one point was over 180,000 gold laugh.gif
