Yeah, you can drain a cauliflower ear.
To be honest, there was no reason Thompson should have come in with it being THAT full...don't know what the deal was with that.

And I think the ref stopped it a couple seconds too soon (they have to protect their investment, Kimbo, after all... rolleyes.gif ). I mean, Thompson was wobbling and would have been out if Kimbo pressed the attack further, but a freshly busted cauliflower ear is no reason to stop a fight. The blood had no danger of running into the eyes/impairing his vision.

The Gina Carano fight was really good though. Damn she's HOT, and could beat the shit out of me! quagmire.gif

I've got to give Faber credit...he brought it to Pulver and showed his striking is damn good.
Both were class acts tonight though. Faber wasn't cocky in the slightest post-fight.

Great event, 1000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 X better than EliteXC (except, again, I really enjoyed the Gina Carano-Katlin Young bout).

Fuck Kimbo Slice. CBS made a goddamned terrible decision by using Slice to push MMA. Remember, for a lot of casual viewers this was the first time they've seen MMA broadcast on television. What they saw was a backyard brawler with no ground game fighting in some offshoot joke of an MMA league. This is akin to broadcasting an XFL game to give people their first taste of football, or a Globetrotters game to give people their first taste of basketball. I can't think of an example for baseball, maybe the MTV celebrity softball game. It wasn't a true indicator of what MMA is and it probably turned a lot of first time viewers unfamiliar with the sport off. There's a reason Kimbo Slice isn't fighting in UFC or WEC. Put him up against any technical/submission style fighter and he'd get his fucking ass handed to him

Great Ultimate Fighter finale.

CB definitely tapped to that armbar by Amir. He (Amir) was my pick and I'm glad he won. An underdog from the beginning too.

I really, REALLY wish Evan Tanner would get back on the winning road. I love the guy, hell he used to be middleweight champ and he's from Amarillo! Work on the stand-up though...
Grove was insane though...crazy freaking knees and elbows.

Haha, just like my parents. They have no clue about it other than seeing the PAIN, and they always ask me 10 times a day starting a week before my fights to "PLEASE DON'T FIGHT!"

I don't listen. smile.gif heh

It's like when my husband talks to me about WoW. I don't understand any of it, but I listen and pay attention. Every once in a while, I will put the pieces together from past conversations, and we can have a decent convo about something. I like to read and listen to stuff I have no clue about. Ya learn something.
